Letters of Matthew Prior George Stepney [manuscript] 1694-1713.

Prior Letters addressed to "My Lord and Patron" apparently Robert Sutton while Prior was abroad during the Wars of the Palatinate, during the negotiations leading to the Peace of Ryswick, 1697, and later, 1712-13, while Prior was present at the conference leading to the Treat of Utrecht, 1713. Stepney letters, generally addressed to "My Lord" and written from various European cities as Stepney moved about on diplomatic missions.
